Dear Patrollers, You are scheduled to patrol on the following dates.

OPERATIONS UPDATES

MINDEN RADIO TRAFFIC

The Minden Tone 1 repeater has been having problems. If you are patrolling
in the Tahoe Meadows area, please use an alternate tone or use your cell
phone to contact Minden dispatch. The phone number for Minden on the old
radio cards is incorrect. The correct phone number can be found on the roster
lists along with the nordic call signs. Yet another reminder to please
keep your cell phones charged while on patrol.

AVALANCHE FAX

We automatically receive the Avy Report faxed at around 8:15 AM. Be sure to read it!
The patrol going to Castle Peak should place it in a sheet protector and use the clip
on the Castle Peak sign to post it on the USFS signboard. Please remove it
at the end of your patrol.

PATROL VESTS

NSP Vests or crosses should be worn by all patrollers, and by any candidates with OEC (only).
These identify NSP members who have passed the NSP OEC course. Non-OEC candidates
should not wear patrol vests, but may wear identifying arm-bands which can be found in the
equipment shelf of the operations trailer.

IN-SERVICE TRAINING

As part of our commitment to readiness and professionalism, patrols are
recommended to devote 45-60 minutes of each patrol day to training. Please
think over what skills you'd like to improve and email your Mountain Manager.
In-Service training skills should be recorded in the "comments" section of the
Patrol Report. Sample in-service training ideas here:
